Activision will no longer publish Star Trek games. :(

Hopefully another publisher will sign a deal with Viacom.

Not meant offensive, but this calls for drastic things!

To ViaCom: [SIZE=4]Get back to the idea tables, and look around on all the Star Trek Forums you can find, there you have your idea's that you need! ASK the people instead of taking it![SIZE=1]

To Activision: [SIZE=4]You, do not complain! If you would make better quality games, you would not be saying that, give 1 compangy (aka Totaly Games 5 years and a 20 Million Bugget, and let them work! Do NOT interfere with there work, they know it better then you do![SIZE=1]

Sorry for the out burst, needed to be done...

As there is only a little more money to be made from the "older" ST games (Armada, SFCIII), it would be in their best interests to release the source codes to us as they are no longer of any benefit to them.

However, being a business does not make them charitable and in all liklihood, they would make you pay for the rights to the codes, probably in the region of $100-200 a pop (if no one pays this, they would lower the price...supply v. demand people! )

If and when they release the codes to BC, SFC II/III, Armada I/II, and EF I/II, expect the quality and quantity of mods to drastically increase.

:assimilate: Resistance is futile :assimilate:

well klingon academy developed by interplay. interplay did virtually same thing activision did, fire the dev team. then cut the game from its site and so forth. however there copyright on klingon academy goes on till 2053 i think. somewhere around there anyway. so we will be waiting a long time before source code is released, if ever.
