My old 9800pro ran it fine. Check your mainboard/ram.

Depends what card you have, combined with your cpu.

As it is now widely known, Activision have gone over to DirectX rather than OpenGL, coz MS have a vested interest now. This is causing performance problems, not just with ATi, but older NVidia cards as well.

Everyone knew that COD2 would be a drain on system resources, but I think that really does depend on what setup you have. If you have a decent ATi card, but lack cpu power, the conversion ratio in DirectX9 will not be as sweet as it will be in DirectX7. On the other hand, a fairly standard card with enough cpu juice will bump up the performance, and give quite good results. This has always been the case. It was the case with Doom3 and Far Cry, and I'm sure it is with the final release of COD2.

yeah that should handle DX9 fine. Are you having trouble? coz I noticed your initial question ask questions which hint that you've got a problem that concerns you in regard to the final release.

yes, my problem is that i cannot run in DX9 Mode. I happy with this for the demo but for the full game i would really love the game to run no hick-ups. So if you know any knowledge about whether this problem will ocur in the finial game tell please tell me because i am dying to find out.... :)

Do you mean that you can't run it at all? Or that you cant run it well in DX9? what error are you getting?
