Though most people are against COD3 because of the no PC release. It is out now, and I would suggest it to anybody with a 360. It's gotten a good review at IGN. And it looks b-e-a-utiful.
I've only played COD2 twice, and I was impressed. I even learned something, while my friend, who owns it, has learned nothing in the game, besides how to aim in-game. COD3 Looks No Different in terms of Graphics, so, what's so compelling about it?

It has received in update in graphics on the 360. New lighting effects, better foliage. For the lighting effects you now get reflective light off of helmets. Things seem a bit softer in terms of graphics.
CoD3 just looks identical to all the games in the CoD series. I think they were a bit lazy in developing this game... I mean, i dont mind the whole WW2 thing being hugely overdone, but i think they could have moved out of Normandy/Northwestern Europe for once. The game would have been much better if they set it in Japan or Africa... And after reading the review... it also looks like it plays identically to CoD2, which I guess isnt a bad thing... but they arent really going anywhere with the series.
all their doing is updating graphics i think they need to increase the worlds sizes for online play and eventualy one day have a 300-500 person server that would be a true war game.
We have a Call of Duty forum, you know.
Anyways, I was more hoping for an expansion to add more things that we missed from CoD to CoD II, like some more missions on the Eastern Front and a lot more dramatic missions and more MP features. CoD II was released only a year ago, and they're already on the third. This one was made for the money.
It doesn't bring that much to the table, and looking from the rating on gamerankings, it seems to be under its predecessors.
IGN always writes glowing reviews that typically praise games, especially big titles, more than other game review sites do. Hmmm, I wonder if they're geting kick backs for it, ya think so?
Also I just spoke to an avid gamer whom works at a local Blockbuster and knows games fairly well. He is a 360 convert and will be the first to tell you when he encounters a 360 game he likes. His opinion of COD3 was that it was not as good as he'd hoped and not as good as BF2 for instance.

Thats just a matter of opinion of course i bought it on friday, the day it came out and me and my dad havent been off it scince then. you say it plays the same as COD2, but it doesn't, even on easy it is a challenge, and no im not a noob, i beat COD2 on veteran. i agree, the graphics are a lot softer and the actual battlegrounds look alot better and as for the multiplayer, it is absolutely amazing, and even on the day it came out there were servers that were full now this is only my opinion but COD3 is a great game and is atleast worth looking at natty
