i believe cod4 is going to be set in the vietnam war. But about cod3. I played it because i was bored and after i had i was delighted that i still had my cod2. The gameplay was alright but compared to cod2 i think ill dump it

COD 4 is going to be set in our time, hence the name "Modern Combat". Probably something like BF2.

It's going to be fictional battles against terrorists. US military, Brit SAS, not sure what other country will be involved. There was info leaked on it way back when CoD3 info was leaked as well.

Earlier in the thread some one said somethig like "do things really glow in real life?" and someon esaid "NO realism" . Lets take a step back. If you like realism so much - try reality. If you want a game to be indistingusible from reality, then there is no point. Has anyone played Black? They recorded sounds of bullets hitting things and being fired. They then deleted those sounds and made the in-game sounds how guns SHOULD sound. I.e. They made all the silenced guns have a cool pe-thoo sound not a realistic "click" . I dont care about realism in the graphics,gameplay and sounds that much - I want to go through WW2 like in Saving private Ryan! I dont want to sit in a dull trench/foxhole for 6 weeks solid being randomly shelled. I want to blow things up, shoot people as they retreat and the like. Its fun (to me). In this respect I think CoD is a great series and when im bored of my current games, CoD3 is on my games-to-buy list. This is just my opinion. Dont flame me because you actually want to be in ww2. Oh and BTw IMO CoD is infinietly better than any MoH game. You can flame me about this lol,it is a tad controversial :p Over and

i would love to play cod3 would be great to get my hands on it i have no problems with it i think they look great wee kill the germans yay...BUT i feel very mad at the developers!!! because well i spend hundreds of dollars every years keeping my system ship shape ready to play my favs when they come out like call of duty and when thye turn there back on us ....well its like a kick in the teeth!!! i dont care what they do! there good game, they all got the magic (all taken form moives) I JUST WANT TO PLAY THEM!! why cant they just bring them out on both xbox and computer!! it arent cheap keeping it up to date and i cant even play this title :(... and the thing that really gets me is now i hear its the last go at ww2!!! WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO!!!!!!!

I agree with most of you...the whole European theater through the eyes of Americans is gettin a little boring. I first played COD3 on the Xbox...graphics were horrible but then played it a tiny bit on the 360 and they are better than COD2...there's no question about it.

I too would like to see the Pacific...it's somewhat sad that the only WW2 FPS games that've covered it are Medal of Honor (who is slowly dying) and BF:1942...

I liked COD3, it was fun...yet - I found that I really only like the American levels...the brit levels and the canadian levels seemed half-assed...and I H-A-T-E those damn special ops SAS creep around, blow this, get this, steal this, etc levels....I hate them...MoH was notorious for them...I only like the outright military battle levels...and COD2 was ALL that baby

Do you have to have Call of Duty 1 to play Call of duty2 PC ? In Call Of duty 2 can you play single player? or do you have to play on line?

CoD 1 and CoD 2 are seperate games. You don't need the other to play the one you want. CoD 2 has a single player and a MP, as does CoD 1. I personally prefer CoD 1, but CoD 2's got the advanatge of being more recent and a bit more moddable.

I would love to get it but my ps2 broke, and i don't have an Xbox360 or Wii. But i have played it on the Wii and it was impossible, the very first bit were you got that yank shutting at you to pick up the gun, i kept moving the control around and i couldn't pick it up. Anyway about from that my first thoughts about the game were quite good.
