I've only played the demo. But aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! I can see my beloved COD game in there - but it seems different, muddied, graphically challenged and - this is the worst sin - UNFAMILIAR!!! And while I'm at it - why no vehicles in the MP? CoD UO and the tanks etc.. . saved the series from being an online washout. So... it ain't broke... so let's try and fix it anyway! God bless the world of commerce! Those bastards..................
Peacenikit seems different, muddied, graphically challenged
Graphically challenged? I don't think I should even try telling you.
And while I'm at it - why no vehicles in the MP? CoD UO and the tanks etc.. .
Because; a) People don't like tanks/jeeps. Many of the UO servers that developed to be more popular had vehicles disabled, or limited at the very least. (Unless they were specialty servers ie. AHZ) b) IW never made UO, so they can't 'fix' anything... Not adding vehicles to a WW2 urban themed game does not 'break' it. c) Not everyone is a UO fanboy.
...also its a totally new engine! NEW game dude! **Rolls eyes** lol
Yeah, great game....
B@SE...also its a totally new engine! NEW game dude! **Rolls eyes** lol
Actually, it's the same engine as the original COD... (Quake 3 engine)
However, it has undergone a vast renovation which has taken it from OpenGL (IIRC) to DirectX, which is quite a thing to do.
But at heart, it is still the same engine. Is it not apparent from the huge amounts of similarities to the original game that have little but a cosmetic makeover? i.e. The menus, the text, the death messages, etc. etc.
^ Well not totally! The all seeing eye had to do a whole new reinstall of the game because quote: " This COD uses a newer better engine so we had to update this part of our drive to pick it up...all fixed now"
