I just replayed the "Hold the Line" level in the British campaign and I must say out of all the levels where you have to defend an area this one is my favourite. The amount of enemy soldiers that poured over the hills or in the open desert was amazing and gunning them down with mg42 or flak gun was really satisfying.
Using the binoculars by pressing to call in artillery was fun as well and I noticed some half tracks driving cross the desert bringing in enemy reinforcements. I loved trying to destroy the halftracks with the artillery. The fact that your allied troops would arrive by trucks and not spawn from one of the buidings was also a nice touch and sometimes I just watched through the binoculars the skirmishes betweens the british and germans troops. Fantastic level, so what's your favourite *defend* level
wow, that british mission was the worst to me, the beginning was good when you were on the ground, i really liked that bit, but after that when you get on that roof with the binoculars, man that was arcade-style: groups of soldier walking in rows, moving the exact same way, just like robots... to me the best defend mission was in the russian campaign, when you had to snipe the mg's and shoot the hundreds of soldiers that came your way
My favorite: Defending Hill40, American Mission. I just liked it
