HI, I am from the UK, and so do not have the game yet, but in cod and uo, i am able to switch on the joystick in console, as i like to use the joystick and mouse ( no i do not use it as a normal joystick as per a console, just feel at 1 with the buttons and 1 axis ) can it be turned on in cod 2 ? any help would be much appreciated, as it was a guarded secret it seems by the developers so that they do not get loads of peeps asking how to set up a joystick.

If you got it work for CoD and UO, you will most likely get it to work.

I tried using a joystick "saltek - cyborg evo" with cod/uo once. Had to program it with macros (not sure of the term). Basically, this joystick and I'd guess other joysticks, will allow you to program it to emulate keystrokes and mouse movement. So, it's transparent to the game - i.e., the game doesn't know or care that it's a joystick - the interrupts receive the same signals as if it was a keyboard or mouse. btw - imo - I found that joysticks are unnatural for fps games. Though, I think they're great for flight simulators - like microsoft's combat flight simulator.
