I have noticed that alot of you over at Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 2 Downloads - FileFront.com are a little bummed out cause you don't have the right video card.

IW has answered the REAL call of duty.

I have just found out that CoD4 WILL run on a GeForce 6100.

You have to play at minimum settings, but it should run with at least 15 FPS.

From what I hear you don't need a SUPER computer to play CoD4 satisfactorily. Not like the machine you need to play MOHAIR. Sheesh!

Actually, it's the other way around.

Say your PC matches all of Airborne's specs, except for one, let's use a graphics card for this example.

You DL the demo/buy the game and finish installing it. You click the desktop icon and it goes to the splashscreen, then an error message comes up saying 'Your graphics card is not supported by Medal of Honor Airborne.'

CoD4 on the other hand, will launch, and allow you to change options settings to let you get the game working.

That's how I can run CoD4 with a 6100.

That's why I like Infinity Ward more than I do EA: IW provides more of a wide range of options for people who don't meet minimum requirements. EA doesn't.

IW supports their fan base, EA doesn't.

See what I am getting at?

No I am pretty sure you need a better PC to run MOHAIR than COD4 from my experiences so far. I know theres some sort of shader issue with MOHAIR and ATI cards. I don't have the exact details, just a random clump of data but the end point is the same. We are playing CoD4 with people that have lesser PC specs that werent able to play MOHAIR. But anyway, I digress.. LOL -- happy shooting.

Are you saying those with great system specs would be better off playing MOHAIR? Is it better than COD4? Reason I'm asking is I have a hardcore gaming machine and maybe MOHAIR would be a more enjoyable game for me since the sp in COD4 was so friggin short.

CoD4 has a brilliantly optimised engine, one of the best to come along in a while. MohAir's engine isn't that bad, but it is rather hefty at times and you require one hell of a processor to utilise it to its full potential.

Personally, I was shocked when I booted up the game and found I could run it on high settings, absolutely awesome.

What I am saying is, MOHAIR needs a better performing PC to run to its full potential than CoD4. Also, theres an issue with ATI video cards. I dont remember exactly, google for the exact details. Now personally, I like the controls of CoD4 more than MOHAIR. The lean, crouch, etc seems like it was ported over from a console gamepad and I am forced to rework how I map keys on my n52 and mouse to play a FPS. I got used to it but it was a little unorthadox for a while. Its all up to ones personal opinion on games and controls. Your mileage mary vary, this is just my opinion. GOOD LUCK!

Let me add to this, if you are into just the SP then great but if you need any MP action, well I was dissappointed to say the least. It doesnt look like MP has any legs as of right now. Compared to CoD4 online, the first week it blew MOHAIR out of the water as far as servers and players. My clan was an original MOHAA group of guys and this last release was supposed to bring it all back. It didnt. So we are full time CoD4 clan now.
