My personal favorite is the M16 w/red dot sight. It's accurate and deadly, what else do you want? I like to use it with the Stopping Power and Deep Impact perks because they pretty much turn me into a god, with the RPG-7 x2 perk to go with them. I like the RPG because it's good for clearing out hallways and small rooms without using too much ammo. Finally, I use the Woodland camo for it, partly because camoflauge actually works in Call of Duty 4. In objective games, I like to hide in the tall grass next to a building, lying in wait for the fish to bite the hook. It worked for me in the beta, so why stop? I don't think I'll use anything else, because my combination just works so well for me. There are times which I could swear I shot two people with one bullet for a double kill. Shooting through walls can be invaluable when trying to clear out a small house or building. I remember one time, I friggin' raped the other team. When I got into the match, it had already begun, and we were playing on that map similar to the level in the campaign where you defend the tank. Once I got started, I was unstoppable. I killed a few people, called in a UAV, soon after that an airstrike, and soon after that, a helicopter. I was getting kills left and right. It was like I was playing a game on easy mode. I got killed soon enough, and before I knew it, the helicopter had gotten me so many kills that I called in a second airstrike and helicopter. Before I knew it, I saw "10 Kill Spree!" on the top of my screen. At the end of the game, it turns out I had gotten a total of 28 kills in about 6 minutes. Lucky for me, I had just unlocked the Boot Camp challenges a round earlier, so I ranked up 2 times from that one match! It wouldn't have been possible without my perks that I had, ESPECIALLY for the combination of Deep Impact and Stopping Power. (That was a true story) Moral of the Story: I love my M16.

My favorite weapon would have to be the M4 (red dot sight) with 3 Frag, Stopping Power, and Martyrdom. Reason would be because the m4 has low recoil and is all around a great weapon. Its the weapon that I usually play the best with. The M16 is alright although I prefer it more for hardcore mode.

I use an ak74u. I have the perks UV Jammer, Martyrdom, and bandolier(sp?). I also use the M4 with claymores, stopping power, and martyrdom. I know martyrdom is cheap but I got sick and tired of people doing it to me.

I like my M16 Woodland camo with a grenade launcher, or an M4 with an ACOG scope.

I enjoy using M4 w/ red dot, Bandolier, Sleight of Hand, & Deep Impact I only play on hardcore servers so i don't really need Stopping Power..

M40A3 or R700 w/ ACOG scope, Bandolier, Stopping Power or Sleight of Hand, Deep Impact I find can be a deadly combo on alot of maps

I usually only like red dot sights on SMGs and LMGs. On Assault Rifles, I use the ACOG, Shotguns, I use the iron sights, and I use the regular scope for snipes.

Hardcore servers: Assault Rifles: M4(ACOG Scope/Red Dot Sight) Sleight of hand, Bandolier, Extreme Conditioning. M14(ACOG Scope) Overkill (MP5 - Red Dot Sight), Bandolier, Extreme Conditioning. Light Machine Guns: M249/M60 (Red Dot Sight/Grip) Bandolier (if no grip attached), Sleight of hand, Deeper Penetration. Sub Machine Guns: MP5/P90/Uzi (Silencer) Claymores, UAV Jammer, Dead Silence. Sniper Rifles: M21/M401A (No attachment) Claymores, UAV Jammer, Iron Lungs. Shotguns: (Only on my "Demo Man") W1200 (Red Dot Sight) Fragx3/C4 Overkill(P90)/Sleight Of Hand/Sonic Boom, Martyrdom(What can I say, it's funny seeing the whining afterwards:rofl:) As for using Martyrdom, if the server has friendly fire on (not enough do imo), then Martyrdom is swapped out for either; a) Extreme Conditioning b)Last Stand

I find the ACOG scopes just horrible, or maybe I'm just bad? It makes the gun sway and more inaccurate so I cannot see any reason to use one... as the red dot sight is nice, stable, and doesn't take up your whole view.

How is the ACOG on snipers? Never really used it on a sniper rifle but when I moused over it the only thing it did was decrease accuracy.

Apart from reducing the accuracy (which is accompanied by not being able to hold your breath with an ACOG scope), it reduces the maximum viewing range that the normal sniper rifles have with their scopes. In all honesty, it's not all that advised to use an ACOG with a sniper rifle, unless you won't be going for as long a range, and are more concerned with moving around than sniping..... at which point you'd do better with either the M14+ACOG or the G3+ACOG since they have a greater ammo capacity than the sniper rifles. A bit of a long winded answer, but detailed at the very least;)
