i tried posting in the help part, but no one seems to like to answer there, so i'll ask here. heres my orginal post.

gopaloo i just finished rebooting my system, so i go and open CoD. i get the message that "configure.csv not found."

that isnt all! after that, i tried to install the patches (1.2, 1.3, 1.4) and it says that it cant install because it cant patch from pak 0 file....

i need help. thanks for your time.

I read this on another forum, so I'll just copy and paste it: 1) Install the game, 2) compare the pak files with the ones on the CD...if not the same then do a standard copy and paste 3) apply patch after the manual copy and paste and the game will work May have something to do with the installer not copying the pak files correctly. The post I got this from may help a bit: http://www.forumplanet.com/planetcallofduty/topic.asp?fid=7128&tid=1461191

That could be it, try cleaning the CD with a scratch remover or whatever they are called.
