Thats my question here folks, Could the Germans win the war if they havent attacked the Russians....?eekx.gif:uhoh: If i remembered correctly, the Russians signed a friend or peace treaty from Germany..... Though i know that Russia posed a threat towards Germany if they didn't plan a 1st strike....

Yeah, they would have had a much better shot at winning, or at least prolonging the war if they hadn't broken up the treaty with the Russians. It would have been near impossible for the Allies to invade on D-Day if the Germans had been able to focus 100% of their resources on the Atlantic Wall on the English Channel. They opened up too many fronts, one in Russia, one in France, and one in Africa. Perhaps if they had foucused their entire energy in only one location at a time, they could have sistimaticly defeated each Allie. For most of the war, the German army was more powerful than any of the individual armies of the Allied nations.

I dont think so. If the Germans didn't attack Russia, the Russians would of attacked the Germans. Communism and Facism do not go hand in hand, and even with the Soviet pact, it was so that the germans and soviets had each other off their backs for the little bit.

Really?

I think that if the Germans had held off against Russia for just another six or so months, the probably could have invaded Britian and defeated them. And then they could have tunred their attention to Russia.

No, the entire goal of WWII for Hitler was taking over Russia for "living space".

Hitler wasn't mad, he was just stupid. He could have taken over the world, he just didn't choose his friends right.

Ok Germans DID NOT start the war to take russians space. The Goal of ww2 and what started it was to kill every jew on the planet. And I don't think Hitler was that stupid... He did manage to succed alot of things. And I do think it was wrong of him to do that but on the other hand he was kind of smart in moving his troops to places and where to attack/deffend. How do I know all of this? Did 6 months of research for a project in college. TIP: Learn your history folks! Thank You :deal:

thanks for the reply peoples... forget to say that im new here.....cya.gif obviously i don't have much research hehe......confusedx.gif well although Germany had a large domination in Europe, were they doing so much to quick, eg: The Battle of Britain, that seemed such a big failure for the German airforce..., i was wondering why couldn't they invade England from Norway, and keep the RAF busy in the English channel.... But seems that a experienced German officer for their airforce had overconfidence on himself......[ 4got that guys name ] The invasion in Russia, was successful because of a surprise attack..... but probably the Germans stretched too far into Russia & resources were scarce, moral lost, the winter cold; hmmmm........ pressured by overwhelming Russian forces...... But yea i too agree that they fought on 2 fronts was a one of the main points on losing, seems like the samething that happened during world war 1 ; the Germans fought at 2 fronts, by the time the peace treaty given to the Russians was accepted it was far too late...., Remember it's a IF.. :smokin:

the main reason of the wwii is just the imperialism of nazism. Indeed, the nazi dirigeants wanted to obtain a large space which would provided them raw material in great quantities and so not to depand from an other country. The extermination of jewish people appears only in 1942 with the final solution. In fact the hatred jews have only be used to serve nazi interrest and their use it in all their affairs as the bad guy.

About the second world war, german army have been very lucky: the blitzkrieg with light armour tank have surprised a lot of people who thought that war was still a static but this blitzkrieg have shown his limits with the battle of britain were we have seen that a little of pilotes could defeated an air invasion mainly due to there were only 1 weapons use. But even if the invasion of russia was easy fot a time, it appears that russian have retaken power because of the production of t-34/75 which is a medium tank so the light tank was now useless and german doctrine too... It was now time ofbig great battle ...
