Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

[MC] Gamers (http://www.mcgamers.com), in conjunction with The Cheat Police (http://www.thecheatpolice.com), will be holding a Call of Duty Charity S&D Tournament to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (http://www.cff.org). All proceeds from the tournament will be donated to help the fight against CF.

What is Cystic Fibrosis? Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disorder that affects the respiratory, digestive and reproductive systems. In the U.S., there are approximately 2,500 new cases diagnosed each year with another 3,000 cases throughout the world every year. Currently, there is no cure for CF, but there are many promising new treatments in use and even more on the horizon. The median life expectancy for a person with CF is now 32 years and only thirty years ago, a CF patient was not expected to reach adulthood! For more details on CF please visit The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

We are in the process of obtaining sponsors for the charity event to insure that there will be prizes available to be raffled off to participants. The 1st place prize for the tournament is a 32 man COD server with a matching 50 man Team Speak server free to the winning team! We currently already have thousands of dollars worth of prizes and we're working to obtain even more. We currently have a web site up and running at the Cystic Fibrosis "Fight For Life" Tournament web site (http://cft.mcgamers.com) which has additional information on it as well as a forums set up. The site is new and we're still adding to it on an almost daily basis so be sure to check it out often. Tentatively the tournament is scheduled to start on July 10th though that may be pushed back a week to allow for more sponsors to sign onboard.

Here is a chance to have fun while generating funds for a much worthy cause. You may also win your clan or group a free server in the process! If you have any question please post them in the forums located on the CFT site or email them to me directly at sgt.d@mcgamers.com. Only with your help can we make this a huge success and help others who need our aid! Here is YOUR chance to make a difference!

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Show that benefit to those who say video games cause violence and uncaringness.

Just a quick update: A caring person has informed me that they will pay the winning team $100.00, which equates to the entrance fee. Additionally, Plantronics, a world leader in communication products have just donated a dozen high quality gaming headsets (retail value of $1200.00) to be raffled off as prizes during the event.
