Hi, maybe i missed the thread if this has already been done, but our clan is going to have an armor division, and we wanted to be able to include the tiger tank in multiplay. I was wondering if someone has made a drivable tiger yet, or what i might need to do to add one. We were considering making it so the axis would automatically be way outnumbered to balance for the Tiger tank.
That would be nice, a Tiger or Panther even better. You would have to remember that the panzer 4 now used would keep its stats though, you know, speed, armour etc. So wouldnt it be alttle lame having a Tiger with panzer 4 stats!??
yes seeing as how Tigers were always better then Panzers IVs
I think Tiger could have Elefant's status and speed but be able to turn the turret full 360º like Panzer 4.
Yes, The tiger tank would be a wonderful add-on.but......Now people that like the allies tank then they would always wanna go german. If that happens then the maker would have to make the Allied Tank Destroyer. But YES I LOVE THE TIGER TANK!! So plz make one and then post it on codfiles.com plz

A TIger would be nice although I doubt it will be usefull. The Tiges is a heavy mainly defensive vehicle, being very heavy and slow with and 88 gun on it it is best used at long range, not in close tank duals.
If however we get to have a Tige sin COD we would need the Fly aswell to have an alternative for the allies (FOr those who do not know the fly, it is a Sherman with a 76mm gun instead of the usual 75 and a longer barril) and other option would be the M10 Wolverine. But none is a match for the Tiger at long range.
I for one would Rather be a manning a zook behind a Tiger the drive a Tiger trough a town :p
I don't see why not... Although they'd have to make the T-34-85 as good as it was in real life, and maybe have a single KV-2. Plus, yeah, the allies would need a Wolverine. They should also make rockets fly faster, its actually possible to see them coming and run out of the way with the size of the maps on UO. And they should give each tank seperate realistic specifications, because I get the feeling ingame that they're all the same with different sounds and models. And they should make the turret turn slower, and reloading should take a tad longer since there's only one guy in the tank to operate every single thing. I honestly don't think Activision will do this though, so the modders will have to get to work...
Naturally, the tiger wo9uld be incredibly strong, fairly impervious to shermans. In fact, it wasnt till near the end of the war when we got the pershing we could effectively take out tiger's and kingtigers. there were tigers in the russian front that took over 200 hits, had treads missing, etc, and still crawled back to enemy lines. it would take the ruskie anti tank-tank to solidly defeat one, and no number of shermans would easily be able to take one down. you'd have to coordinate an effective ambush/diversion tactic to take one down. If I could figure it out, i'd make the rear THE weakpoint, meaning that footsoldiers would be ones main concern, forcing people to abandon the general solo approach, so the germans might get say a Tiger and one or 2 p4's, and the allies say 6 or 8 shermans. then the infantry would actually have to defend the tiger from allies using sachels or bazookas to the rear. It's not the easiest thing to do, then theres the fact so many people will whine about it being "unfair" or something. Then again I consider it recompense for cod1 only having 4 german guns:mad: Perhaps the tiger could replace the elefant on a map, as its already got an 88....
