I'm too cool to Post

Have to get a new monitor which I will aso be using for work (not graphics intensive). Have read that LCD's aren't adequate for serious gaming, but love the small footprint and on some other sites they've said LCD's can do games (specifically the Dell 2001) and even users on the forums have said go LCD even for games (they mentioned several models). If I go CRT it will be 19" maximum due to footprint.
Any recommendations/comments on (1) LCD vs CRT (2) Specific models that are good/bad?
Note - COD is my main game, but I also play CounterStrike and other first person shooters.
TIA - R.
