I have just bought a new mouse to find that the two side buttons cant be used as a command. Does anyone know how to fix this because I would really like the two side buttons to work in the game.

Um, if it cannot be changed with like software that came with the mouse, i would download a program by stardock, you can change buttons on your keyboard and maybe you can do it with your mouse too. www.stardock.com but before you do that, check out if any software or drivers came with your mouse that you have not installed. Hope this helps suede

Yeah you have the same mouse I have. You need to configure it. Install the Microsoft software that came with the mosue (or download it free from Microsoft), then go to control panel and find the Microsoft mouse control centre, or click on the mouse icon in the system tray, that will bring up the mouse config panel. Now you have to set your mouse buttons for COD specifically. You'll see that there is an option for it. Just browse to find COD.exe and set it. Now pick what you want the mouse buttons to be - e.g. DELTE, HOME, INSERT, etc. Once all 5 mouse buttons are set, go into COD and go to Options > Shoot, and set what you want to assign to the buttons. Just click the buttons. You'll then see that what you assigned in the Microsoft mouse control centre will appear next to your selection. E.g. - 2nd Weapon > INSERT. I've tried that but it does not work. I want the side buttons to aim down the sight and reload. I set the left side button to ALT and the right side button to DELETE but it still wont work in the game. What mouse driver version have you got?

I've got Intellipoint 4.1. But I would avise that you don't use ALT to select weapons, the game doesn't like it for some reason. ALT for anything else is fine.
