It's kind of an odd question. But i would say to use mods to ensure spawn safety.

it's only a problem when you're playing HQ, if you ask me. because there's an objective besides killing and you actually respawn…

Defo needs some 'offical' protection on it. There are lots of Windows mods out there, but very little in the way of Linux ones (my clan server with Jolt is Linux). I'm not going to get into the realism debate too much (because there are weaknesses in the argument) but I would just say spawn killing - that is everyone attacking one particular point on a map because everyone knows the enemy is spawning there - isn't realist: u don't have people spawning in real life. So the argument that its a valid tactic to use doesn't hold water. But my main grip with it is that its a weakness in the game - it gives a ratio of deaths to whoever is spawn killing which is only possible because the AI in the game hasn't been implemented as well as it could have been. And I know this has been debated before, and it pointed out that it was in order to keep the size of the game down. But its not that a big an increase given that the mods for it are not that big. Those being spawn killed have little or no chance of defending themselves since they have no choice in where they spawn. Also, they are off-footed because the fraction of a second it takes to re-oriantate themselves after poping back into the game is enough for the opponent to exploit and kill them.

Like what? All I've been able to do is duck and cover, maybe fire off a few shots, Most spawnkilling usually takes place with a few feet of the actual spawned person. I can't hit someone who's practically "inside" my character.

ive actually never really been victim to spawn killing....and ive never seen any major spawn killin occur so if ya ask me, a spawn protect thingy is abit i dunno, semi-useless. And in UO, whenever ur in an emeys spawn point they cant even spawn there so ye, i dunno.

In TDM, if you are abled to do spawn killing, you allways have to kill some opponents first.

So when your opponents are NOT being stupid, there is no way you will be abled to do it!!

Not true in Base Assault. Server I play on, even when your in the enemies spawn area they still appear right next to you. Someone had driven a tank up to the spawn point and started to shoot into the spawn point, but when we damaged their tank enough (took around 10 spawns) he jumped out just before it blew up and went to the other spawn point (we didnt know he'd gone there at the time) and just sat there waiting and when we got killed running along a field we spawned into the place he was and got killed around 5 times, as the AI didnt spawn us in a different place. So we just had to wait in spectate mode until he moved, but by the time he had moved we'd lost the match.
