I was wondering what most people prefer using; scopes or ironsights? Or neither? Personally, I like ironsights better. I think that if you need a scope to be good, you probably aren't that good (or am I generalizing?). Anyone can find a good sniping spot and take an hour to put the crosshairs on someone, it takes more skill to use ironsights. Also, close quarters combat is much easier with an unscoped rifle.

If you are a professional (like me) and look for more challenges, you should use the unscoped rifle and see are you THAT good...

I don't like using scopes, mostly because when I click to go into scope mode, the scope zooms in so far that I can't find the target. Now, if the target is standing still, I have no problem... but I prefer using iron sights. With iron sights I can see more to the side also.

iron-sites are easier to use, but scopes are more precise. I hardly ever use scopes though...

sniping for CoD, iron sights are far easier in UO, provdied you dont have the reaction time of a sloath. its a simple click, track the player shoot and their dead. with a scope u see them zoom in, hopefully in the right spot or u lose them, try to aim when wobbling (UO only), shoot on target and maybe hit, sometimes even if its dead on you miss cos of a last sec wobble, with ironsights you dont wobble at all. plus, its far easier to pick of a sniper than a rifle man cos snipers always camp and rifle men usually run round.
