OK, anyone who plays CoD is familiar with the scripts that a player can write in order to generate an animated message of sorts at the end of a round. The problem is, it takes to long to be able to test the script. You have to get on the game, play a round, and then you get to test it. Want to make some adjustments? You gotta do that all over again. pinch.gif

Is there a simple little program out there that will let players test these scripts outside of the game?

Try this site. It lets you create several different kinds of script - animated and non-animated: http://www.boodizm.net/cod/names.asp

Yeah, making them is easy, but testing is a pain in the arse.

To test a script, go to Start New Server, load any map, join a team, then test your script. Takes me about 2 mins.

That's similar to what i do now. I just find a server that's empty. I was looking for something outside the game since that takes a minute to load and another to close.

Ok look. Do you have at least 2 computers? If so… use File share . Start a server on your work computer (I call it this because you’ll be working on this one) Now with file sharing open up your COD/UO file where your Exec.file for the script is on your gaming PC. On the gaming PC join the server. OK your in the game and testing. Now if you need to change anything you’ll be doing it from your “Work Computer” then test again this way you won’t have to leave the game and come back.

If you do not have another computer you can still do the same by minimizing COD and doing the changes on the same PC note I can't remember if you would have to vote to restart the map???

Bad part is once you get it all right and everything looks good…. You get kicked for it by a server…lol! Yeah…OK! Lets not worry about the mass of cheaters. We’ll just worry about these colored name offenders. That will help COD!

The one I love is the servers that inform everyone on alias’s that have played under a guid! I went on one of these and had so many from a color configs. It stopped listing any when I entered. Fun stuff.

Oh and can any of these servers ever get the Md5 tool to work right. Hahaha! There was a server that must have kicked 300 players while I was in there…. Then when no one else was left it booted me lol! I played for hours in the same server then suddenly my COD file was invalid, hehehehe.
