I have started to play CoD online. If I was to start a server what is the best program to use to set rules in the server? I had a program for medal of honor that when you pressed F9 a menu came up giving you lots of options. Are they any similar things like that for Call of Duty? Also what do you guys use for hosting servers?

you could try Rcon4cod http://callofduty.filefront.com/file/Rcon_4_CoD;22827 probably not exactly what you are looking for but you can change options on the server once it is created.

If you want free advice on setting up a server, I do a personal server configuration builder at my COD clan website. Just go to the address, register to enter the forum, activate the account with the email sent to you, and then post in the 'Tech Support' section. Then tell me what you want in your server, maps and stuff, and I'll set it up for you. I'll even give you advice if you run into trouble etc. As I said - it's all FREE!!! No catch. Find me here: www.iza-games.co.uk

Yes, there are several rcon (RemoteControl) tools that can be used once a server is properly configured. These tools allow you to alter the configuration you've already set in the server configuration - hence, remote control to the server configuration. You must set an rcon password in the server config otherwise you can't use an rcon tool. The best one, coz it doesn't require a minimiser (program to minimise COD to the Windows System Tray), is HLC Rcon 5.2. This program allows you remote access to your server config by bringing up the COD Menu, the same one you use to choose a team or a weapon. Download it for free here: http://www.frankenworks.com/filemgmt/index.php

HLC Rcon is a pk3 file. One goes in the server's 'Main' folder, the other(s) go in the client's. You wont need to come out of game to control your server, as it is accessable form the game's main menu (where you choose a team or weapon). For other Rcon programs such as Rcon4COD 1.5, this is client-only. You start it before you go into your server, and it sits on the windows desktop. You have to either run COD in a window, or use a minimiser to get to it to control your server.

What I wanted was a program that when I created a server in cod uo with game menu and loaded the game up I could press a button and a menu would pop up showing options like what map, kick or ban player etc. If you have Medal Of Honor Allied Assault there was a program called Mohaa_for_dummies which is the thing I am talking about.
