idk about you guys but i think the ship level looks just liek the bismarck or the tirpitz of ww1. lol if youve ever seen a picture of these ships youll see that the cod one is EXACTLY the same, even the nazi symbols on the ends, maybe IW did this on accident not sure :) But hwat seemed strange to me is that there 2 ships are WW1 ships, not WW2.

Your wrong, the DKM Bismrack was a WW2 built in WW1 that sunk in the Atlantic. That was in 1941. The Tirpitz was the sistership of the Bismarck. Remember, most battleships were built during WW1 and used during WW2. WW1 Ships were more common in WW2 than WW2 ships.

The Ship level is based on the SAS level in the single player campaign. In the breafing it says "To further cripple the Battleship TIRPITZ pending RAF bombing". The ship was the Tirpitz! As for the WW1 thing, it was named after Germany's WW1 Kreigsmarine Admiral Tirpitz so I don't think it would have been around before the First World War.

That is correct - the Tripitz was started in 1936 and is depicted in the level. What irritates me is the inaccuracy of this ship even being in the game though - the Tripitz was never assaulted by infantry, ever! Her demise came on November 12th, 1944: Attacked by 32 Lancaster. Shortly after 0940, the Tirpitz is hit by two "Tallboy" bombs on the port side amidships. Four other bombs near-miss the battleship. At 0952 the ship capsizes at 69º 36' north, 18º 59' east. 971 dead. And looking at the blueprints of the original and the interior of the game-ship - oh well, artisitc freedom I suppose...
