Hi there i am a member of ~TWZ~TomorrowzWeaponz. we do have a couple of servers up in 1.51 and 1.41 but soneone making the server crash in 1.41 idk how are they doing this but they are anyone haves anyidea of how is this is come about?:mad:

probable using a well-known COD exploit. Patch to 1.51 and it stops, or get a Linux server, as it only happens with Windows servers.

There are other admin methods of patching your server without updating to 1.41, but you really need to know what your doing, and I mean really need to know.

They are doing some kinda of commands to a rcon tool or thru the console! When it crashes again ill post what the server box is saying servershutdown?

yeah, sounds like the codboom exploit crash.

Basically the Quake 4 engine has a bug in it technically called the Sprint F buffer command overflow problem. You dont need to know the technicallities of it, but suffice it to say that it can be fixed. But, and this is why I said you would need to upgrade to 1.51, the fix is only for COD 1.5 and upwards.

If you do decide to upgrade to 1.51 with the UO patch, you can get the fix for the server crash here:

I wouldnt post that in an open forum, as someone could gain knowledge through it, and maybe use it against someone.
