Oh? That is what it is called? Never had one, but I thought I had heard people talking about that.

Anyways, I would take the Mauser over the Greasegun anyday.

Webster... its rate of fire is considerably slower than that of the MP40. However, the two guns do have a similar appearance in that they are mostly metal, and this was a reason for both guns to be referred to as "Burp Guns".

Actually, the rate of fire of the M3/M3a1 Greasegun is not 'considerably slower than that of the Mp40', The Greaser tops out at 450 rounds per minute, and the MP40 at 500. They are 'burp guns' not because of their appearance, but because of the report of the round being fired. 'burp..burp..burp..burp..burp', with a slight delay in each successive round because of the lower RoF. As you move up RoF, the report of any weapon varies greatly. The MG-42 would sound something like 'buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurp'. The RoF is so fast, a single round is indiscernable.

Ive heard alot of korean war veterans reffer to the ppsh as "burp gun". The ppsh was used extensively by the north koreans. Ive never heard the mp40 reffered to as the burp gun though :uhm:

The dancing locks in your sig coincide perfectly with the drum beat from 'Looks That Kill' by Motley Crue.
