I know, history tells us it was the Allies - but look at it a little bit differently:

Germany and Japan lost the war, but they emerged as two of the big seven and now even hold a great deal of power and influence in the world. Both of them are economical leaders and innovators - so did they really lose the war or did we just do them a favour by removing all the old rubbish and finance them to build a new empire? What are your thoughts on that?

NO one won the war. A war does not have winners or losers

hehe, nice try at the philosophical answer - but it has losers... ask the dead, the victims of war, those left behind, the crippled...

If you mean the Big seven as the top seven largest economies in the world, you are forgetting that the main allys (USA, Britain, Russia) are all higher than Germany, and the USA are the largest in the world. Things would probably have been the same had there been no world wars. Except their wouldn't have been a great inflation in Germany.

Are u sure? I thought Germany is AT LEAST STRONGER ECONOMICALLY THAN RUSSIA. I mean Russia is crap right now. They had shortages of everything. And gopaloo, yeah i think they have a military force. I remember they used it in NATO operations or something. Even Japan has a "self defense" task force:rolleyes: and they re supposed to never use war as a way ever again. and i dunno who won the war. Its a pretty complex topic thats hiding behind a simple question. I am sure people have written mountains of paper on it.

Well, Germany is a powerful nation, but still quite small in comparison to Russia. The Russians should have a powerful economy because of the potential to trade with the whole of Asia, Australasia, Europe and America. because it is near all of them. They arn't because they have a communist government, where there are no classes, which can be a bad thing when wanting to devolve power in order to trade. But talking about land size, I would be contradicting myself over Britain, because it is smaller than all the countries, including Germany. But Britain has a massive economy because it had many colonies in the victorian times and are still friendly to them, and trade with them. And there's the small matter of our alliance with the US......

Hmm, you seem pretty much out of your water here, huh? Germany, France, the United States, Britain, Japan, Canada and Italy are members since 1975 Russia only joined in in 1998 as a full member. Germany and Japan both were ahead in the league table before Britain, who made it number seven in most years.
