Japan is rich. Germany has an army, but is not allowed nukes, likewise for Japan, Russias $ per capita is pretty low. Japans is one of the highest up there with america. The allies did win the war. The fighting one that is. But economically, everyone won. Apart from Russia. Because they were Commies, and they suck. So yay for everyone in WW2. Tunein next week for, who won WW3, the allies, the axis or the martians. We ask master Historian Geoff Bridegedette, what he thinks, "The Martians guerrilla tactics, and 4 legs, definetly helped them secure the eastern side of the moon...." More Next Week.

If Germany didnt have to worry about Britain, America, etc., and were able to focus all their armies and everything on the Eastern front, then they would have definitly won the war, hands down. However, when the americans landed, Germany had to split its armies between Africa, France, Italy, and the eastern territories. America creted the necessarry diversion that enabled Russia to steamroll a distracted enemy.

Bodo BabyHmm, you seem pretty much out of your water here, huh? Germany, France, the United States, Britain, Japan, Canada and Italy are members since 1975 Russia only joined in in 1998 as a full member. Germany and Japan both were ahead in the league table before Britain, who made it number seven in most years.

doesnt britain still have a coverted seat on UN security council? Along with US, RUSSIA, CHINA, AND FRANCE? I think what limits russia is their communist past and the influences left over, like state protection for industries, corruption, etc. It takes time to go from a communist economy to a capitalist one, especially with some of ur own people (politicians) still deeply communist. Not to mention the appearance of organized crime that took the opportunity in the transition from communism to capitalism.

What do you mean by out of the water (non-insulted voice)? I was mearly stating that Russia could be as powerful if not more powerful than the US under good leadership. I also mentioned that Britain has a suprisingly large economy compared to its size - due to it's links with the US.

As a matter of fact, Britain would be much better off without dealings overseas since the American deals are always written in a way that the country selling one item to the US has to buy two in return... And we just don't have any more space on this island for some of those famous brand names... :D [QUOTE=Grim_Grom]Japan is rich. Erm - I was taking you seriously till you came to Russia - thank you for participating though...

The only reason Germany and Japan are doing as well as they are economically is because they lost and the US and her allies(Not including Russia) Rebuilt there countires and installed the Capitialist ideals in them! The first Japanses stock market opened during the occupation and well, the German they make great cars! So it is kinda a yes and no but the allies by no means lost! Although Communism has scarred Russia they are near bankrupt and have a long ways to go to recover but they will recover some day and be great agian! The same goes in Eastern Europe! Behind_Communism.jpg Dont ask questions! I am not a communist! I hate communism! I just love Russia and her history so shutup about the whole "Red" Menace thing before you even start!
