Hey guys I just want 2 ask you guys what your favorite World War II movies are. My favorites are some of the modern ones like Saving Private Ryan, Enemy at the Gates, and Band of Brothers, I know some people don't like them because at points they are unrealistic but I think they are really good modern WW2 movies at least compared to other modern WW2 movies like Windtalkers, and Pearl Harbor which in my opinion weren't that good. I haven't seen any of the older WW2 movies like "A Bridge Too Far", "The Longest Day" and etc, because I don't know... I like modern movies with realistic special effects like SPR and the rest... I think Hollywood needs to make more modern movies on World War II it is such an interesting period in history. For example, a movie on the Battle of Britain would be awesome. You imagine that? Spitfires and Hurricanes taking on the Bf-109s of the Luftwaffe over the skys of London and the English Channel in the biggest air battle in the history of warfare. Wow. Or maybe a movie on the Eastern Front? Maybe dealing with the Battle of Kursk, the greatest tank battle in the history of warfare? Or maybe a movie that deals with the British 6th Airbourne and the assault on Pegasus Bridge? or on the American/British Operation Market Garden. Another cool movie idea, might deal with the British SOE operatives that went on secret missions to sabotage German installations like in COD in that one level where u go and blow up the dam and you (Seargeant Evans) and Seargent Waters, and Captain Price get into that car chase. lol What do u guyz think?

BoB is great. They did pretty good on it. The Story of GI Joe is just as good if not better (as far as getting it right) goes. Made in 45, all the equipment, uniforms, guns etc etc etc etc is right down to the tick.

So was it made during the war, or right after?

For their entertainment values I go for Private Ryan, BoB, Stalingrad, Steiner, Guns of Navarone, Das Boot, Schindler's List, Eye of the Needle, Tora! Tora! Tora!, The Battle of the Buldge, Big Red One, A Bridge too far, and my all time favourite The Naked and the Dead

For historical accuracy? LOL - in Hollywood? historical? accurate? facts? ROFL The truth never got in the way of a good movie!
