Tools needed and where to get them: GGMM http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/download.php?id=434 Winrar (for Downloading GGMM) http://www.download.com/WinRAR/3000-2250-10007677.html after you have downloaded GGMM, extract it from the .rar file and follow the instructions. now run it, find the car you are replacing, click installer and click create backup. now click installer again and click manual car installer. if the car came with an IDE line, put it in the IDE box, do the same for the handling, colors and carmods lines, if they are supplied. now for the dff file and txd file that came with the car, click open next to the dff box and direct it to the dff file, do the same for the txd file in the txd box. now click install and the car should be ingame. if the game freezes because of the car, run GGMM, find the car, click installer and then restore from backup. if you have any questions, just post in this thread.
Do you have any idea why the game freezes even though I replaced the cars properly. Thus far, I have yet to get a single modded car to work. Skins, yes. Cars, no. Any ideas? I had tried Ggmm and replaced the backups, game still freezes.
When did you buy GTA San Andreas?
Before Christmas, I'd say early December.
i don't remember exactly when the patch came out but i'm pretty sure it was before then. i think your problem is that you've got version 1.01 of GTA SA and that doesn't allow most mods to work.
Package says second version. I like GTA, but it would add a lot to be able to mod it.
I'm having the same problem it crashes half way through the load bar and it seems that every forum or download comment I go to doesn't have a solution maybe this forum will be diffrent
i remember i had that problem trying to install a gun mod when i went to check the files i found they werent there so i added em again and it worked fine you might just be missing a file or have the wrong one installed
I wish I had only tried this once both manually and with SAMI had the same results on multiple attempts
*Sulks* I did the same thing...and got the same results.
