How does this program work and why isn't it working for me. Do the skins have to be compatible with this because as far as I've gone with this program it doesn't work for any of them, tells me it is installed go into the game and the car is not the modified one I wanted. Not really that big of a problem but it is irritating that it tells me it can do something it's obviously not doing.

Perhaps you have GTA SA installed twice?? A lot of people have ik installed two times, one for modding, and one for the original. It can happen that SAMI picks the wrong one to install the files in. You can change it somewhere, don't know where though. It is also a possibilty that when SAMI was installed, the GTA SA was installed on a different location then it is now, wich means SAMI can't find it anymore. If neither of this is the problem, then i don't know, I've never heard before that it didn't work!

GTA is installed in the same location it has been, and it's the only installation of the game I have. SAMI seems to not put the cars in the game, though it creates backups for the cars it "replaces"...that's the part I don't understand, it creates a backup of the car but it doesn't put the car in the game.

Do you have IMGtool?? If not, download it, and open "gta3.img", which is located somewhere in your installation folder. Use the "rebuilt archive" feature, to make a new index list for the game to use. If that doesn't help, use the search feature to search the .TXD or .DFF file from one of the mods u tried to install. If it finds just one file of each type (with the same name), I've got no idea what's wrong. If you find two files which are exactly thesame (like two times "comet.txd"), you have to delete the old one, then the mod should work. Hope this helps!

Ok, here is where I am at. Done the above "rebuild archive" and searched for a file to see if it is doubled...no luck, this program is garbage as far as it has worked for me a readme would have been nice in it so I could know if I'm doing everything correctly. This is what I do: 1. Open SAMI (which is installed in it's own directory on my harddrive, dunno if that is supposed to be or what.) 2. Click install mod button. 3. Browse for the .zip/.rar file I am looking for. 4. Select the .zip/.rar file I want. 5. Gives me a defualt line for the 3 different config files (might be the issue). 6. Says mod successfully installed and creates a backup, but the car is not placed into the game. Any help greatly appreciated on this one.
