Hello, I am Staff Sergeant Duvall from the 3rd Infantry Division. We are looking for some players to join up with us on our servers for some friendly games. We have a teamspeak server, and a 34 player Call of Duty: United Offensive server that is modified to suit our goal of gameplay, which is realism. We've been around since 2001, and our roots go back to Day of Defeat. This division has it's feet firmly planted in the realism community, and enjoys the spectrum that it plays in. If you'd like to stop by our site, feel free to visit us at http://www.3rd-infantry-division.net Server IP's CODUO Server: 69.93.51.186 Teamspeak Server: 69.93.51.186:8767, password is Garand

We're always looking for more friendly, realistic players to join us on our teamspeak, and our servers. Feel free to drop by and say hello, your presence would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely, SSgt. Duvall [3rd ID]

Hello fellow soldiers,

As a Private First Class in the 3rd Infantry Division, it is my duty to act as the primary infantry men for the Unit. I have been in the 3rd ID for a few months now, and I have never felt more brotherhood in any other community I have been involved in. Truth be told, I consider every member in the Unit to be my brothers, and I have come to love the 'Blue and White.' If youa re interested in Realism/Tactical style of play, there is no better place to find it. As my Staff Sergeant said, the unit has been around since the early Day of Defeat days with one goal in mind, 'Strive to recreate the events of World War II to the best we can with the use of a computer game.' We utilize a true to life COC (Chain of Command) and era-specific ranks.

New recruits are put through a very informative and fun period of 'Boot Camp' of which SSgt. Duvall is in charge. Do not jump to conclusions however, because the 3rd Platoon Training Period is not that bad. It is an introduction to the Unit, and if taken seriously can be some of the most fun you can have in your gaming experience.

I am running thin on time, and I hate to extend this too long, so I will end with this: In my honest opinion, there is NO better group of people in the entire Call of Duty Community. Our website is always jumping, with 1,607,950 hits since September 2003. The 3rd ID Community awaits you!

Hello,

Private First Class Freeman here. I would just like to reemphasize the points that PFC Holson made. Ever since the unit's days in Day of Defeat, the 3rd ID has been there providing a Realistic/Tactical style of play with the strongest sense of realism possible within a video game.

Our new guys are given an introduction to the division known as 3rd Platoon. It gets the recruits ready for the tactical and realistic style of the division. It's a great way to get immersed into the game as well as providing something entertaining and fun.

If you are into tactical and realistic styles of gameplay then feel free to stop by the community. We guarantee a great time.

-PFC Freeman

Hello, I am PFC Gwizdala from the 3rd infantry division. For over 5 months I have been with the 3rd Infantry division and have loved every aspect about it. Through training with the division, I have stepped up my gameplay and have become an expert with the M1 Garand. We are dedicated to realism and have achieved a lot of respect of the realism community through hard work and dedication to history. I hope to see you all around in the future.

-PFC Gwizdala

The only way that the 3rd Panzer Grenadier Division would be reformed would be if someone stepped up, formed their own site, and ran their organization from there. Briggs, the former commander of the 3.PG is very busy, and wouldn't be able to run it at the moment. Panzer, you should stop by the server and play sometime, we'd enjoy the company.

well i had offered to keep it going before it was shut down, but everyone said that because 3.ID wanted it shut down, there was no keeping it alive and it was to be left alone... if you guys are interested in having that offshoot reinstated, i would be willing to set up a site and help bring things together again...

but yeah ill stop by your UO server and play with you guys a bit

If you are willing to create a German realism unit, that would be great! We'd love for you to come on teamspeak sometime while playing, that's where most of the realism feel is at, and it makes communication easier. Feel free to contact me on AIM/ICQ/whatever, and we'll talk, and I'll give you details on how to reach Cpt. Higgins, or you can just post your idea in our forums. Regards, SSgt. Duvall

Thanks to all of you guys that came out and played tonight. It was a blast with a packed server, and it was packed for a good 3-4 hours straight. I saw Panzer-SS there. Looking forward to seeing more of you guys there.

Any of you people actually served in the 3rd ID? I have, 2 years to be exact. Then I was in the 2nd ID for about 18 months.

Thats what realism is about. Go join the US Army to learn more
