I had the same problem before, here's what Tally said
Tally There are 2 ways to do this - the way that bell (creator of AWE) tells you, and the real easy way.
Let me explain the real easy way first.
Place the aweuo server pk3 file in your uo folder. Also, add your list of aweuo cvars (server commands) to your server config file (please tell me you got one. if not, we need to talk more). Let's suppose that it is called dedicated.cfg.
Drop down console and type: /exec dedicated
Thats it! your aweuo server will be running.
If you have a remote server box that UO runs from, the above 'easy way' to run aweuo is prolly the best, and the one I use for my clan's UO server.
Now bell's way.
What he is asking you to do is create a coduo mp shortcut which will start your server. But you only need to do this if you have created a subdirectory within the COD folder called 'aweuo'. This is because of the fact that, if you simply start your UO server up without telling the game that the subfolder exists it will simply ignore it - as if it wasn't there.
Incedentally, this is exactly the same situation with German Front Mod.
So, lets edit your CODUOMP.exe shortcut to start your server (can't work if you have a remote server box - you will have to create a .bat file to do this).
First, rename the shortcut to SERVER.
Now, right-click on the short cut and select ‘Properties’.
The box labeled “Target” is what we are concerned with.
Be sure to edit the Target and Start in lines to point to your game server directory if they don’t already.
Now you need to enter your command line switches. I’ll show you what I use and explain those. It is up to you what you use, but a couple are a must have.
+set dedicated 2 +set net_ip 18.104.22.168 +set fs_homepath "C:\GameServers\IZA\CoDUO" +set fs_game aweuo +exec dedicated.cfg
Each ‘+’ represents a new switch. So in this string there are actually 5 switches
1. +set dedicated 2 a. Tells the server to run as a dedicated internet server
2. +set net_ip 22.214.171.124 a. Specifies the IP address of the game server.Set it to your IP (make sure its a static IP) b. If you are behind a firewall, you need to enter your internet IP address and not your local IP
3. +set fs_homepath "C:\GameServers\IZA\CoDUO" a. Specifies the path to the game server b. This switch is recommended by punkbuster
4. +set fs_game aweuo a. tells the game that there is a subfolder called 'aweuo' and must be run as well.
5. +exec dedicated.cfg a. Executes your server config file. b. Replace “dedicated” with the name of your config file
Notice how I simply added the command line switches to the end of the Target line. Make sure to add a space after the quotation mark ”
Now click ‘Apply’ and your new short cut should be ready for use!
Click ‘OK’ and then run the shortcut. Your game server should be running!
You also need to be on version 1.51, if this bit doesnt help the full thread can be found here
