can/has anyone make a mod that adds big white smoke puffs when people get shot like in saving private ryan and band of brothers...that like linger in the air a little as well?you know?

white smoke puffs? What if ur in the bocage of France and theirs pollen on ur jacket and u get shot? what color is that?

its not smoke puffs, its dried mud, that has been on their uniforms for EVER! it happens too me when im in hte field aswell

regardless if it's smoke, dried mudd, or a sublimated philly cheesesteak...

if you want to add an effect like this, intercept the Callback_PlayerDamage( ) function of the specified gametype GSC file, such as dm.gsc...

you can use the vectors, vPoint and vDir to determin the origin and orientation of your effect. Since I'm not sure what the vPoint and vDir vectors actually represent, you may need to run calculations on them to generate two derived vectors. Or maybe you might simply want to use the victim players location and a random vector...

Then drop in a PlayFX( ) call. Make sure the effect in question was precache( ) ' d somewhere.
