I'm very new at this map making and think its pretty cool. I have a few question about this. 1. For examlple like making a wall, when I press esc to deselect it how can I reselect it to delete it or change its shape? 2. How do you make a single object (tree, brush, ...)? I tried making a single tree but can only see it in the editor from one angle. 3. I was making a map and saved it and closed out of program. When I reopened it to work more on it every thing I made was way up high and I could not get the view up there. What went wrong? 4. If I were to add a window from a window texture will it be transparent in the game so one could see and shoot through? 5. how can I test my map out in the game to see how it looks in game?

1. hold shift and click on the brush to selevt it. Use the grid window to resize clip or (by pressing the delete key) deleting the brush 2. I'd suggest visiting this site and check out all the various tut's and video tuts. the vid's helped me allot on basic cod mapping. 3. use the right mouse button and click on the 3d view window. holding only the right mouse button will make you look in all directions, when holding either shift or ctrl you can move up and down or forward and backwards. depends on the shader that has been written for any texture. 4.cover the whole brush in nodraw texture, except the front and back of the window. (any transparent window will be see-through in the 3d window, indicating it is "transparent") The window should be transparant and able to shoot through it. 5. download a BSP compile program (I use the codbuilder program can be obtained here: http://www.modsonline.com/Downloads-full-584.html ) For further tutorials I suggest this site, wich helped me a great deal in understanding cod's version of radiant. http://www.modsonline.com/Tutorials-list-4.html goodluck!!
