Well hello i am looking for someone to help me. I just recently learned how to make skins In delta force black hawk down, well I cant seem to figure out the file types for skinning for call of duty United offensive, well in delta force i downloaded this program that lets u view and export .pff files that had .dds files in them . Well is there a program like that for Coduo? cuz I have photoshop cs and things like that i just need a file viewer or something that will let ME get .dds files from coduo, can anyone help me out.

You need pakscape to open the pk3s within the UO folder. You will then need a .dds plugin in order to open the .dds files in the pk3s. (It is called pak01.pk3 which is the one containing skins) You need to download a plugin that allows you to edit .dds files and I believe that plugin si available at nvidias website, i THINK. Once you have opened the .dds file to edit then you recieve a message asking if you want it to generate MiP maps, always click NO. THen you can edit the skin and save it on your desktop. Open up pakscape and click on "New", then make a new folder inside that called "skins" when you have done this, put the skin you have just edited (the .dds) into that "skins" folder and save it as a .pk3 and stick that in your UO folder. Load up onto an UNpure server and your skin should be on.

hope this helps you. Target practice - Modern Warfare: Black Hawk Down mod Leader - www.mwmod.com

Winzip and WinRAR work better for .pk3 files. I used Pakscape (I'll admit it was a while back) and it wouldn't open half of the .pk3 files in my SoF2 folder. With Winzip and WinRAR when you save your new .pk3 file, just take the .zip or .rar extension off and replace it with .pk3 in the filename.
