Have you unistalled the game, and then reinstalled to a different directory? Coz it sounds like you didn't reset the cod.ini file. So, when you reinstalled to a different directory, the presence of the older cod.ini file is telling the registry that the game is no longer installed. Here's what to do. Uninstall the game again. But this time follow these instructions: 1) Run Add/Remove programs, and uninstall COD/UO 2) When finsihed, double-click the My Computer icon. Then double-click the C:\ drive. 3) Double-click Program Files. 4) Right-click on the Call of Duty folder and select Delete. Remove the COD.INI file from your hard drive. 5) Click the Start button > Find (or Search) > Files & Folders. 6) Search your C:\ drive for a file named COD.INI. 7) The file should be located in C:\WINDOWS. 8) Delete this file. 9) Reboot your machine. At this point the game is completely removed from your system. 10) Now reinstall the game
damn.. didnt work.. btw i just realised i did a manuel install i.e i copied the files directly from the cds to my hard drive
LOL Well, that's why it isn't working. Coz the cod.ini file wasn't created in the first place. :D
i cnt install it the proper way as it freezes at 99% when i have to reinsert the first disc... can i like copy the registrys from another persona nd add them?
No, I'm afraid you can't copy the registry entry. But your freeze problem is prolly down to a bad disc. Is it scratched or dirty? Try cleaning it.
Could someone maybe give me the conents of the 1.5 patch and i can just paste it into my folder?
it needs to install itself, as it updates some pk3 files.
so it doesnt replace them it changes them? cause then you could just send me the pk files
What are these damn animals?
