I have 2 phone lines at my house and I want to know if I can run COD on the internet with the same CD-Key? I want to play my brother at the other computer online. I have only one copy of the game. But I don't want anything bad to happen to my CD-Key(banned). I dont feel like getting another copy of the game to play on the other computer at the same time. Can I run both at once without getting in trouble?

No, you can't. My brother and I wanted to do that with another game, but we couldn't since no 2 CD keys can be on the same server at once.

I tried that already, It depends on what server. Most servers will not allow it, but you can find some servers where you can both play at once with the same CD-Key.

Here is the thing,

If you want to play on the same server with identical cd-keys you have to join (or create) a server with punkbuster disabled. Cause PB checks the cd-keys. I'm sure about this cause I am hosting a server and I can join it with my 2 pc's and 2 identical Keys. Sam

I dont think CoD itself lets two people with identical cd keys join anyway, as part of a piracy thing. LAN is your best option methinks.

I run a dedicated internet server and I can join that one with 2 identical cd-keys. I can also join other servers (with PB disabled) too, so it should work fine.

Sorry m8, but this is piracy, even if it is your copy that you are running twice. This is one reason why they brought out punkbuster to stop people using 2 or more pcs with the same cdkey.
