I keep getting this error after about 5-seconds of joining a server. I reinstalled the game, but that did not help. Any suggestions?

you need admin rights on your computer to play. Search the site for help.

I have admin rights on my computer. I already checked that...even the guest account is off.

I had the same problem on 3 occasions, its easy to fix. U have a trojan on your computer. When a trojan installs itself it steals your administrator rights from u, u cannot play cod unless U are the system administrator. Download a good trojan killer, if that doest work use system restore to restore your computer to at least a week before the problems started. System restore kills trojans in case u didnt know, your registry gets restored to before said trojan had its roots into it. sweeet eh? Long story short, that error is caused by a TROJAN. Get rid of it!

trojan's don't give the error of "Blocked O/S Privileges" check with your local server admin about this problem he is probably having technical problems with his server thats the only thing I can think off. I see this error every day, try joining a server without punkbuster.

If your sure you are Admin, then follow this advice. First, Infinity ward (the designers of COD) say to do a manual update of punkbuster if you're getting the 'blocked or inadequate OS priveldges. You can follw the thread about that here: http://www.iwnation.com/Forums/inde...=0entry112396 To manually update pb you download a proggy called pbweb. Place it in your pb folder (in you COD directory), and run it from there while connected to the web. Get pbweb from here: http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=updatepb.php A foreign site says to use the following commands: /pb_sv_enable /pb_cl_enable /pb_security 0 /pb_system 1 (the thread is this: http://games.telenet.be/forum/showthread.php?t=298074) Type those while on a server. But you will find that when you type /pb_sv_enable you will get a message saying that the pb server is currently disabled. This is because pb are having difficulties. If you do get this message, then it will not be a problem with your system, but pb's fault. But give the manual update a go. It has helped me get over a few problems. No PB Folder This sometimes happens when you upgrade to 1.5 - no pb folder is created. No one can send them to you I'm afraid because of the way they are installed into the body of the game. Here's what you have to do unfortunately: 1. Uninstall COD completely, remembering to manually delete the COD folder from the directory where it was installed (default is Program Files), coz add/remove programs leaves it behind. 2. Reinstall, and then apply patch 1.4 first 3. Then apply patch 1.5, and check to make sure there is a pb folder still there. 4. Put pbweb into the folder as I said before, and run it while connected to the net. That should do it.
