When I try to join a network game I get a message saying "Awaiting CD Authorization" and then after a bit the connection times out and returns to the menu. I have the same problem with both COD and COD:UO both are full retail cd's updated to v1.51. I have entered the cd key's in the multiplayer options menu and that appeared to work fine but I still get the "Awaiting CD Authorization" message and then nothing happens.

Can anyone tell me what is going on? Thanks.

Is your firewall configured to allow CoD?

is your CD key legal?

EDIT: This problem is usually the firewall... do you turn off windows firewall or whatever other one?

Yes all firewalls have been shut down and yes the CD key is legal. Unless Walmart has started selling illegal software.

Could this happen if somone else had used a keygen and gotten my cd key?

Are you trying to connect through the CoD / UO server browser??

Have you tried programs like All Seeing Eye, Gamespy and XFire?
