Hello, I have a problem that annoys me. When I play CoD multiplayer, about every 10 minutes or so my game freezes for about 3 seconds and then comes back to normal. It does this in every server and every map I have tried so far. My computer is very able to run this game. I have the latest drivers for my video card, too My specs: AMD Athlon64 3400+ 512MB Corsair XMS LL PC-3200 RAM (getting another 512 soon tho) ATI Radeon X800 Pro (latest drivers) 450w PSU My friend said he had this same problem until he grabbed the latest drivers, but when I grabbed the latest drivers, my problem still occurs. I set my max fps to 100 and it rarely drops below that and I run the game on 1280x960 with everything on MAX. Other than this annoying freeze-up that occurs every 10 minutes or so, it runs perfectly fine. Any suggestions would be nice. BTW, I don't know if this matters, but since video cards now need additional power with molex connectors, I believe that the cord that connects from the video card to the HDD is also connected to a few fans in my case. I don't know if this matters, though. PLZ HELP! Thanks **EDIT** It also does NOT do this in CoD's single player!
check if the bottom center of the screen says "connectin interupted"...if it says that then the problem is with your internet connection
Nope, that's not the problem. I've read that many people are getting this problem, including some friends I know in real life. I think there's issues with the latest ATI drivers and the latest CoD patch.
You might try configuring your punkbuster settings too. See QUESTION #1 here: http://www.codboards.com/index.php?showtopic=3923
