I have always played COD multiplayer, but recently, I lost all my servers. Refreshing did not work.

I uninstalled and re installed twice now but when i xlick refresh, nothing comes up. No servers at all!!

Some please help me. I miss it so much.

I am not up tp speed on PC jargon as I'm from the older generation, so please be simple with me when explaining your cure.

Any suggestions??

Thanks guys.

sounds like a ultra-slow connection to the Master Server, so its not receiving the request.

Try using another server browser to find the servers, like XFire or All Seeing Eye. Both free to download. Just google for them.

Thanks for the fast reply.

As I said, I know nothing. How do I know who my present server is at the moment and how do i change.

It was working fine for about 12 months.

no, I think you misunderstand me - the programs I refered to do the same job that the game does: they find servers for you to play on.

all you do is install the program - XFire for example - and then you open it. It connects to the net, and then presents you with a list of servers for you to connect and play on.

It displays players, IP addresses, how many on, if it is modded or not, etc etc.

It replaces the games in-built server finder (called a server browser)

I have not updated my game, it's still the original COD 1.

My PC is about 18months old, Windows XP 2000 prof.

The multiplayer has always worked, I even have my own server someone did for me, but god knows what happened why I lost all the servers.

Thanks for taking the tiime to reply anyway.

1. Download and install 1.5 patch for cod, CodUo patch to update CodUo to 1.51

2. Ensure windows firewall allows Codmp.exe and/or coduomp.exe in exception list.

3. When you go to Join Game -Ensure correct connection type is selected -Check filters settings

@ Goliath_01 - did you actually read the thread? All that has been done. In fact someone else said exactly what you said about patching the game.

People - please try to read the posts before responding

Thanks for your help.

Thought about the patch but do want to pay subscription for 1 year for this.

Tally, thanks for looking over me.

Confused by that one. The patch is free. no subscription involved. Maybe I misunderstood you.
