Hi, I got the same message when trying to launch the single player game. My solution was to COMPLETELY uninstall both Call of Duty and Call of Duty United Offensive, delete the install folders from the harddrive, reboot the machine, and then reinstall Call of Duty and then United Offensive. That did the trick. My guess is that when playing multi-player we downloaded invalid files to our directories, and that's the reason for the error message. Hope that works for you, ARROWZ

http://www.gamingforums.com/showthread.php?t=148500 Check out my 2 posts halfway down. Your problem is probably the same or similar. You don't need to uninstall and reinstall anything. All you need to do is remove any mods/anything extra from your CoD/main folder. For me, it was the Realism mod.
