Alot of you already know me, but im back because my server still doesnt work.

One guy helped me alot (moviestar) but he said my router cannot hold a server because it is not good enough. But, everyone says it could. I have a Linksys WRT54G.

I've port forwarded, used DMZ & many more but it still doesnt work.

If someone has a guide to making one or can help me, Please Post.

:(:(:(

With your DHCP turned on your computers ip is still static regarless of the order the computers are turned on... (1st ip problem) Your port forwarding option cant be working either as your server would be online... (2nd ip problem) The DMZ option seems to have a 1 in 3 chance (you have 3 computers connecting to the router) of working depending on the order the computers were turned on, which is extremly weird as your DHCP appears to not be working and shows no change, yours never shows any change from .103 regardless of settings and i think its pot luck if your computers are turned on in the order that will work for you (thats why it works one day and not the next)... I think the ip IS being assigned by DHCP but its not showing any change in the router settings (3rd ip problem) Your router has issues. Its not that the router isnt good enough its the fact it doesnt work correctly. Try updating the firmware on the router and try the process again.

Do a hard reset on the router (normaly a small button under it) and then go in the settings a turn DHCP off (if it isnt already), save that setting in the router and then turn everything off including the router and modem, then turn everything back on 1 by 1 (modem 1st, router 2nd then the computers) Afterwards when your computer is connected to the router and the internet check the IP of your computer in command promt by typing in 'ipconfig'.. my guess it will still be a .103 anyways buy try then adding that ip into DMZ on the router. If that dont work nothing will. If you want to update the firmware there is normaly a heading in the router settings for loading updates... You would first need to download the latest firmware (if there is any) for your router from the linksys website and then point the router to that file, Some routers search the internet for you and some just do it automaticaly everyday, im not sure what yours does i'd have to check.

Dont use the 'run' function, use the Start-programs-accessories-command prompt.

put that ip into DMZ and put nothing in port forwarding... If DMZ works on your router you'll be abe to host a server.
