Deinstallation Q: I wonna remove " uninstall " the game manually and wonna remove it all ; even in the register! A: Follow the next Steps very good. If you do something wrong it can be possible that windows doesn't restart anymore! SO PAY ATTENTION! 1) Press @ Start > run. 2) Typ REGEDIT and press on OK. 3) Press "+" next 2 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. 4) Press "+" next 2 SOFTWARE. 5) Press "+" next 2 ACTIVISION. 6) rightclick on the CALL OF DUTY folder and click on Delete. 7) Close the register. Now everything is removed from your registry you can look for your remaining files on your HD and remove: 8) Dubble Click on “My Computer”. 9) Dubble Click on C:\ drive. 10) Dubble Click on your Program Files. 11) Right click on your Call of Duty folder and click @ Delete. remove COD.INI From your HD: 12) press Start > Search > files and maps. 13) search on your C:-drive 2 the file COD.INI. 14) Normally the file is in C:\WINDOWS. 15) remove this file COD.INI 16) Restart your pc and now is Call of Duty fully removed Put the game cd back in and normally he should ask 2 install the game again Good Luck :moon:
Thanks Zypho had the same problem an activision couldnt even help your fix worked back in the game ...............
im doing that now hope it works thanks neway m8 ill keep you informed of what happens
m8 i think i love you! it worked!!!! how the hell u no how to do that stuff!! once again thankyou! :tank:
My problem is that when I install, everything works, up until I hit the "Insert Cd #2" I do so, and click OK, and nothing happens, the insert CD# 2 pops up again. It worked before, when I installed it, but I was uninstalling/reinstalling because i screwed with one of the game files, and it corrupted (lol) And during the reinstall is where this had happened, I clicked the OK button hundreds of times, with no avail. HELP!!!! Can't give ya specs, cuz I don't know em all, most of my comp was my dad's till he upgraded, but I do know what video card and processor speed, and memory amount i got. I doubt any of these is the problem, as I had been able to play it with no problems before I screwed up the game file.
