you have one file named Public.cfg and one called clanwar.cfg what I'd do is have the public one run when the server crashes, and when you want the clanwar running just type in /rcon exec clanwar.cfg (far as I know that should work lol)

Yeah, as Highroyds says - have the autoexec file associated with the public server.cfg. (i.e inserted at the head of the server cfg file) If or when your server crashes, that one will load automatcially. Just rcon the clanwar cfg by typing what Highroyds says.

Have you bought a server if so the company you've purchased from will tell you which server.cfg file is the one that will be automatically exec if the server crashes. You just alter that one to be your public server file and then you place the clanwar.cfg file in the same folder as the servers main cfg file. This is from the Jolt web site:

Jolt CoD Clanservers come with a number of config files, all of which are located in /cod/main/. It's worth understanding how these different configs work together and when they should be used. codserver.cfg This is the main server config, containing all the server settings except the map rotation.

So by this you'd connect the the server via ftp and open the file codserver.cfg and put all your public setting into that one and save/upload back up to the server.

But if you haven't rented your server (Highroyds m8, you don't 'buy' game servers LOL), just create an autoexec.cfg file (i.e. a cfg file with the following script in it: /exec server.cfg), and drop it in the server cfg file itself. In other words, a file within a file. This is placed at the TOP of the server config. This will then auto exec itself, and the server cfg file.

I've heard talk about "http direct", does that mean the downloading of custom maps go off some other server, instead of our game server? How can we arrange this? (we have the Town Assault map, but lose players because they're kicked due to lag)
