i was playing call of duty 1.1 (or 1.0) in multiplayer then ai suddenly wanted to play its new version 1.5 but this fucking version crashed my computer then i downloaded a program about ati visual cards (mine is his exc. ati radeon 9600xt 256mb) for playing cod 1.5 but now after entering any server quits the game automatically so what should i do?
Spawn you just gave the dude info about UO - he is talking about COD, and the patch for that is 1.5. Turbo - is this a legal copy of COD?

My suggestion would be this, uninstall and reinstall CoD, after you uninstalled CoD, goto your programs folder and make sure the CoD folder is gone, if not delete it manually, then uninstall that ATI program you downloaded, if you remember where you got it, or the name of it pm me, I would like to look at it. After that reinstall CoD then install patch 1.4, then install patch 1.5. Try that, hope it helps.
tally of course cd is original, i understood the problem exactly, i can play in the "empty" servers but when i see someone firing gun on the screen the game quits directly and again it's a legal copy btw Angel_Eyes this was the 3rd time i've been reinstalling this stuff
This sounds like a graphics driver problem. I would suggest you use the ATi's clean-uninstall utility to remove what driver you have at the mo, then download the latest Catalyst driver. Do the following: 1, Download the latest Driver: http://www.ati.com/support/driver.html 2, Uninstall your current drivers and then run the clean-sweep tool: http://www.ati.com/support/drivers/...alystutils.html This will take off ALL information relating to ATI. 3, If it asks you to reboot the pc, and if it asks you about driver installation once pc has rebooted, cancel it and run the installation driver that you downloaded from ATI in step 1. 4, It will then ask you to reboot again, then once rebooted, run the punkbuster manual update: http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=updatepb.php 5, reboot the pc again. Now try the game again and it should work now. If not, go to your control panel and select System (brings up your system properties) and select Advanced tab, then down to Start up & Recovery. Now look for Automatically restart and make sure that this is NOT ticked. If it is, take the tick out and then click ok and OK again. Start the game and test the game. If it freezes it might bring up a blue screen, if this happens you will need to write down the error message that you get and code, then post it back on here for further help.
