Hey, im a CoD veteran who has been playing since it came out. I have always played with CoD installed on D drive, but got connection interrupted a lot when i played multiplayer. I just recently uninstalled call of duty and put it back on C drive, installed direct X, and did everything right. when i try to launch call of duty MP i get a FATAL ERROR NO FILES FOUND (in some map folder) message and it will not launch. when i launch SP the words will not show up so i cant play. (i have not yet updated to v1.4) Any help?

Try this- go to your programs folder, then open up the CoD folder, there should be a folder called main, uninstall the game making sure you rid the cod folder out of the programs folder. reinstall the game making sure its installs on the hard drive (c) c:/programs/Call of Duty, thats if your hard drive is C. Just make sure you prompt it to the drive letter you use... Oh, open the main folder, there should be a lot of pk3 files in there. Its possible you that it didn't install correctly, if you reinstall, don't worry about installing the dx9b, since its on your computer. I see you have two drives, open both drives and check for any cod related items and delete them before you try reinstalling. Its possible that the main folder is on one drive and the rest of it on the other.
