I have installed COD three times and even closed every start up programme before installin but I try to open COD and play it Il get a Fatal Error which says "17 Sound Files are missing or in a bad format" and I can only quit I have looked in the 2 CD`s but there doesn`t seem to be any sound files there that i could copy over. Does anyone have any ideas how I can overcome this problem?

Many thanks

George

"17 Sound Files are missing or in a bad format"

Are you sure you bought the game? If so i would return the disks to your gameshop and ask for another one.

yo

Try this:

Uninstall everything and then go to explorer and manually delete everything in your COD folder. If you downloaded some custom files while playing online there must me some of them left because the uninstaller from COD won't reconize them. And if that doens't work ... well ... buy CoD2 :D

Also, check the disc for scratches or grease marks.

2. Your sound driver needs to be reinstalled.
