ok i installed ou no problem but when i start it up and go in game all the trees are blocky and the men are all green its strange i have a pretty good spec pc and i have audigy sound card and gforce fx5700 graphics?? some 1 help me i cant find any answers

yip.....did this help??? Plse reply back ( peeps tring to help champ)

You must have DirectX 9c and get the best vid driver..not the newest really cause as i run a Rad 9800 the newest driver is the CAT4.9 but the CAT 4.8 was made with COD ( UO ) in mind....let us know plse. :uhm:

Yeah I get some similar weird graphic problems...I noticed that yesterday night only for the first time. First in Carentan map in MP, had some colorfull linear block in the sky, 3 rows of them exactly. Then in mp_uo_Stanjel, had some similar colorfull blocks on the ground and sometimes in trees...Never had these before. I`ve been using Catalyst 4.9 drivers since they came out...Maybe I should try with the 4.8 instead...

Thing is I have several custom maps installed, so I`m not certain if the problem comes from a custom map, the drivers, UO itself or my contact lenses (:naughty: )... Is anybody else have some similar issues? Regards,

Yeah Id use the CAT 4.8...I just read at www.guru3d.com that the CAT makers made the 4.8 with COD in mind...so thats me! :D

Ok but here`s my point: If Cats 4.8 were "optimized" for UO, then wouldn`t the Cats 4.9 contain also this "enhancement"? Just a thought but wouldn`t it make sense after all? Also we read everywhere that Cats 4.9 were optimized for OpenGL and Doom 3, so shouldn`t they be better for COD too? Anyways I didn`t try yet with the Cats 4.8 but I might do soon `cause tonight I just had the same weird colorfull patches on the Russian tanks in SP, second mission of the Russian campaing, at Ponyri, where you take back the rail station...Pretty annoying... Nobody else has these weird color patches on some objects? Thanks,

Yer...CAT 4.9 including the same ' goodness ' as the CAT 4.8 would be too simple ah! Go figure. Check ur seetings ah...pc's are so sensitive. Nvida...wouldnt know...I have hell with my 5200...so i dont run COD on that machine. But a 5700's a whole lot better....mail nvida...no??

Hi, Im getting a similar problem on my system. Im using a geforce Mx400 on WinXP, 512mb ram, SP1 latest drivers direct X etc. There appears to be some graphical corruption in fine detail graphics such as barbed wire etc. Its appearing as solid object. Also, some textures are not working, just get grey/green blank texture. Also there is no sound. I initially thought this was direct X issue, but my Graphics and Sound are fully DirectX compatable. I have tried several versions of DirectX, including up to Ver 9.0c It worked fine on my other PC with the same graphic card/setup. The only diff is that this machine uses Pentium 3 550mhz where my other is a 3.2 ghz AMD with 3 gb DDR ram etc. Could it be the low Processor specs ?? Minimum requirements say 600mhz +, but everything else seems to work ok.

SOmeone said sumthing about floating blocks...well they werent floating bricks woteva , they where leaves blowing with the battle smoke and wind..lol
