You need to do a clean reinstall. Here's how: 1) Run Add/Remove programs, and uninstall CODUO 2) When finished, double-click the My Computer icon. Then double-click the C:\ drive. 3) Double-click Program Files. 4) Double click on the Call of Duty folder and then select the UO folder inside. Then Delete it. Remove the CODuo.INI file from your hard drive. 5) Click the Start button > Find (or Search) > Files & Folders. 6) Search your C:\ drive for a file named CODuo.INI. 7) The file should be located in C:\WINDOWS. 8) Delete this file. 9) Reboot your machine. At this point the game is completely removed from your system. 10) Now reinstall the game. But before you do make sure both your laser head on your ROM drive, and the CDs are clean. 11) Before you apply any patches, check the pk3 file sizes: This is what they should be: UO 1.41 pk3 file Sizes: localised English pakuo00.pk3 123,141,455 bytes pakuo00.pk3 161,403,007 bytes pakuo01.pk3 162.311.029 bytes pakuo05.pk3 725,304 bytes pakuo06.pk3 238,582 bytes If they are ok, try the game. If it works, apply patch 1.51. Again check the pk3 file sizes. This is what they should be: localised English pakuo01.pk3 72,866 bytes localised English pakuo02.pk3 3,772,796 bytes pakuo02.pk3 166,227,647 bytes pakuo03.pk3 146,286,848 bytes pakuo04.pk3 163,831,126 bytes pakuo07.pk3 3,129,841 bytes If you need to, do the same with COD - follow the procedure for deleteing the COD folder, but sereach for COD.ini and remove that. Before you reinstall UO make sure that COd works properly, and check the pk3 files for it (see under the stickies for the sizes).

Ok, for some reason Windows cannot locate the CODuo.ini file to uninstall. You can remove UO manually, but you - and hope you don't feel insulted by this - really need to know what you're doing, or have somone next to you that does when you do it. Best thing to do is a complete reinstall of COD as well. That way you know you'll be safe. So here is how: 1) Run Add/Remove programs, and uninstall COD 2) When finsihed, double-click the My Computer icon. Then double-click the C:\ drive. 3) Double-click Program Files. 4) Right-click on the Call of Duty folder and select Delete. Remove the COD.INI file from your hard drive. 5) Click the Start button > Find (or Search) > Files & Folders. 6) Search your C:\ drive for a file named COD.INI. 7) The file should be located in C:\WINDOWS. 8) Delete this file. 9) Reboot your machine. At this point the game is completely removed from your system. 10) Now reinstall the game. But before you do make sure both your laser head on your ROM drive, and the CDs are clean and free of scratches. 11) Before you apply any patches, check the pk3 file sizes: This is what they should be: Call of Duty version 1.0 (N.B. these do NOT represent 'Game of the Year' edition) localized_english_pak0.pk3, 167,895,169 bytes localized_english_pak1.pk3, 126,070,475 bytes pak0.pk3, 167,014,921 bytes pak1.pk3, 165,964,103 bytes pak2.pk3, 165,555,454 bytes pak3.pk3, 167,888,227 bytes pak4.pk3, 167,607,183 bytes pak5.pk3, 80,540,215 bytes pak6.pk3, 613,326 bytes If they are ok, then apply any patches, such as 1.5. Check the pk3 file sizes again. To find these sizes, check the stickies as both myself and Highroyds have posted them plenty of times. Once you've done that, and checked that the game works, you now have a clean reinstall and so, can now reinstall UO in complete safety. pleased.gif

when you've uninstalled, UO still ISN'T!! You need to find the program removal reference. This means going into regedit and removing it, which I don't advise for the faint-hearted! A simple, though perhaps more involved, method is to un-install - reinstall COD/UO to a DIFFERENT directory. This way, the .ini files don't fekk-up your system
