Wow, I've actually got a problem. :p

When I open CoDmp it immediately closes (before it gets the the menu) and tells me it can't load CoD_mp.cfg. I've looking around in the main folder a bit and its definately there and nothing seems to be wrong with it. Here is the error message that I get when it closes:

COD MP 1.5 build win-x86 Nov 10 2004 ----- FS_Startup ----- Current language: english Current search path: C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~2/main

File Handles: ---------------------- 0 files in pk3 files ERROR: No languages available because no localized assets were found ERROR: No languages available because no localized assets were found ----- CL_Shutdown ----- ----------------------- Hunk_Clear: reset the hunk ok Couldn't load default_mp.cfg. Make sure Call of Duty is run from the correct folder.

I believe that something went wrong with my mod managment application and it screwed my pk3s or something. :uhm:

...If you had read my post you should see that the game does not start, not that I have no sound.

And I would rather not have to re-install, so I'll wait until others respond with possible solutions.

Whenever I have problems with a game, I re-install. If the problem persists, I go and take a visit in the forums. I agree with AntiKilleR.

It looks like a problem with a specified file: localized_english_pak2.pk3 file. This is where the default_mp.cfg file is located. You can try copying this from your COD CD 2. It's in a folder called 'Data'. However, the error message also says that there are 0 files in pk3. Have you moved the COD folder to a different directory? If you have, then running Add/Remove Programs will have left behind a folder which is almost empty, and more importantly, the COD.ini file. So it looks like its trying to load from the old location. I would try to copy the pk3 file across first. But I'm suspecting that you're going to have to reinstall completely. I'm sure you know the drill now m8. Remember to search for the COD.ini file after removal, and manually delete it.
