Im trying to install COD on my new computer. I have it set up on my LAN, so i can play against people in my house. But i have a problem....i lost my cd case that had my cd-key in it. Is there anyway to find the cd-key i entered in the one i have installed now? Or do i need to buy a whole new game if i cant find the case just to get a new number? Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance.
Yes, right in the multiplayer options, but sometimes, it will erase this, and you wont be able to see it, otherwise, you have to just search within the games files, such an annoying task...anything will open up in word pad, in code, if you can find the right file, it might have it displayed somewhere in the code. Otherwise, hmm...download a Keygen? but those are risky, and illegal, I only use them when I have the game, but lost the key, I don't think anyone would make a big deal about that, now would they?
I see no harm in getting a key-gen as you have legitimatly bought the game yourself. Just be aware of what your downloading as a lot of people just like to stuff things up and put virus's and such on them.
I was going to use a keygen, but i was wondering if it would let me play multiplayer, and if not, seeing as i cant find my original cd key, i cant get it back. Then all i would do is make it so i cant play on this computer too.

Let's not discuss keygens here, guys. That's a form of warez, and the rules here strictly forbid the promotion of warez or piracy, so find a legal way to solve your problem.
Yes my dear Inyri, we shall obey:bows: Well in that case, try looking in the multi-player options, I know it specifically has a place for your cd key there, so you can re-enter it when it wants, I had to do that a few times, ussually it will display it there, but if not, then you shall have to resort to methods of which I am not aloud to speek cause of dear Inyri:deal: it is written in the contract.:nodding: which I agreed to when I made my account, so I must obey:bows:
Can't you liek buy a cheaper new CDkey from Activision? I know Valve does that.
Buying one from Activision is your best bet. Just email them saying you legitimatly have the game (provide proof somehow which would most likely be necessary) and they would most likely send you a new one.
Proof is ussually by a key circling the central loop of the disk
well... if you registered the game when you first installed it(it's so funny that hardly anyone does). You can call or e-mail customer support and probably get a new cd-key free. I have done this with a few games as i have a 2yr. old son who loves my computer area!
