hi i am having problems hosting servers on cod because of my rooter it is a D-link DSL 504T and i have forwarded loads of ports and non seem to work can someone please help me?????

You need WAN IP address and you need to open specific ports for cod. Visit www.tmmworld.com and see COD server guide.

i have 3 port option though i have ......port start ,port end and port map, what shall i put for port map?

@ stupid14 - do you have a static IP? coz there isnt any point forwarding ports on a dynamic IP address, coz your data would be routed differently each time the IP changed anyway.

If your having trouble hosting it will be because you dont have a static IP. See this guide for setting one up:

STATIC IP SETUP

Once you've set one up, make sure you have the MASTER server list in your server's config file. that way you'll be advertised on the servers lists that players use.

i have tried to create a static IP but wen it says to put in the DNS i only have 1 of the 2 i need and i can even find the other one i need on command prompt so.......

ring your ISP as its a 'name server' (DNS) that they use. they will supply the info 4 u. It might even be on their support website.

You can try with dynamic DNS. It s free. Go to www.dyndns.org In your router options check "Enable DDNS" Then create account on dyndns.org or www.tzo.com Then enter the information in your router including the domain name as you entered when you were registering and that s it!

i have got my preffered dns but i just need my alternate dns now.....i have a d-link router and it tells me on there but only fills in the preferred dns
